Shay Chesley – Overall 5-StarI’m not sure where to start with all the wonderful and amazing things I want to say about Dr. J and his staff. I’m from Kelso, WA and I went to two other podiatrist before coming to Dr. J and if I hadn’t come to him I would probably not be walking today. He truly is a bone whisperer if there ever was one. The staff and Dr. J care and he knows exactly what he is doing. You can have the utmost confidence that if you pick Dr. J to take care of your issues, that you’ve come to the right man. Thank you again Dr. J and staff for helping me heal and back on both my feet.

Dr. Jay — I give him an A+. After having much discomfort for the last 3 to 4 months and not being able to run, I decided to get help. I googled to find a Portland podiatrist and saw Dr. Jay Goldstein’s reviews and website. I then asked many of my running friends who they would go to. Dr Jay’s name came up many times. I was examined by Dr. Jay and found out that I had a hairline fracture (great digital xray equipment in their office) and he explained what I needed to do verbally, and also gave me several written articles on the subject. He is very diligent and I liked that he took the time to address all my concerns, especially about running. I followed everything he told me to do (which at times was hard.) I am happy to say, I started running recently and I am totally pain-free I now understand why his name comes up all the time in the running community.

Overall Excellent – I never saw a foot doctor before, but my primary physician told me that I needed to go to a specialist, a podiatrist, to fix my foot problem. I thought I had warts so I was treating them myself. After they started turning black I went to my primary physician. He sent me to Dr. Goldstein. Dr. Goldstein explained to me that some of these over-the-counter treatments can be very dangerous, especially if you are a diabetic. It turned out that the home treatment ate my skin, which I could not feel since I have less feeling in my feet because I’m a diabetic. I ended up developing an ulcer on my foot. Dr. Goldstein told me that I was very lucky that the ulcer did not turn gangrene. He and his staff educated me on how to check my feet, how to best care for my feet and to always call the office when I get new shoes. His staff would check them for free and make sure that they fit properly. And if I ever ever notice anything different about my feet to call immediately and make an appointment. Dr. Jay and his staff were very helpful and kind. I feel fortunate that my Primary Physician sent me to him. I would recommend Dr. Goldstein to anyone who wants the best foot care.

Dr. Goldstein explained to me what was happening and recommended that I wear a different type of shoes and also purchase support stockings (which I was happy they carried right there at their office.) He removed the heavy callouses at the bottom of my feet which made them feel much better immediately. He also took an x-ray and explained it to me. He wanted to see me again after the birth of my child. On my return visit, he made me a pair of orthotics which I have been wearing for about 4 months now. He is a caring and diligent Dr. I am very happy my OBGYN recommended Dr. Goldstein. I now have Happy feet!.

Overall Excellent – Dr. Goldstein has been my podiatrist for nearly 3 decades. I have the highest regard for his knowledge, skill and professionalism as a physician. Dr. Goldstein performed surgery on my foot for a nerve problem with excellent results. He also has treated me for a variety of other foot ailments, including on two occasions for a broken toe. While I have heard from friends that other doctors routinely advise that there is nothing really that can be done for a broken toe, Dr. Goldstein had me follow a regimen invovling gentle taping, and had his staff create a special slipper for me to wear that relieved pressure from the toe, both of which I believe greatly aided healing and reduced residual swelling. Also, I am a runner, as is Dr. Goldstein. For years I have relied on Dr. Goldstein for recommendations on proper running footwear, given my particular gait (which he has observed in his office before recommending an appropriate shoe). Dr. Goldstein is quite knowelgeable about running shoes and I have never been disappointed in his recommendations. In large part I attribute the fact that in over 3 decades as a runner I have managed to avoid virtually any running injury to Dr. Goldstein’s sound advice. I recommend Dr. Goldstein without hesitation.

Overall Excellent –This Doctor was sent from heaven!!!! He has worked with many friends of mine and he was highly recommended! When I was searching on the internet on where to write a review for this wonderful man, I saw some negative reviews. DO NOT Believe them. From start to finish he listened, asked questions and came up with a diagnosis other doctors didn’t have the experience to find! He had an xray machine in the office which was convenient. He was thoughtful, funny and my feet are sooooo happy! Unfortunately, people will always have something bad to say but do not knock him until you have seen him!
